Growing up my passion with videos games has become firm of joy. Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Minecraft and Fortnite are some titles to remember.
Over the recent months my love for the game Call of Duty has fell short. I think to the simple fact that the game is no longer fun to me. Call of Duty over the recent years have tried to do the futuristic idea of warfare. They recently have returned to the boots on ground warfare of Call of Duty but it has not been the same. I have had the opportunity to play the game Call of Duty Mobile. This game by far is quite fun and nailed on spot portable version of console Call of Duty. Your mobile must be on point to play to particular game. Having to be able to shoot and turn direction, calls for the idea of multitasking, which most mobile games consist of. The game play is not as challenging as I expected it to be. I find myself joining lobbies that I completely demolish. My K/d ratio is a slight 7.45 in this game.

The start of 2019 my skills with creating digital was at an intermediate level. I at the time I had already completed 4 total courses catered toward making digital art. Digital Design & Animation II was solely learning and sharpening my 3d modeling. I learned numerous things in the application and was able to see a progression in my work in months. I went from only being able to making simple primitives and adding extrusions and beveling, couple months later I was able to make a Ramp for this game I assisted in making called Magnet Attack. In terms of applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have seen myself using less and less tutorials to create things. I know how to use more than half of the tools in both programs. 2019 in terms of graphic design was a lot of me just being bored and creating simplistic logos for social media platforms for myself. My video editing is at its peak and I think soon I going to move into knowing how to do effects for videos. I had the chance to film a music video and create the music videos snippet. For 2020 I wanted to be able to make more effects and being able to know and apply to clients liking.
Mario Kart Tour is such a refreshing piece of nostalgia. For those who enjoyed Mario Kart on the Nintendo and WII will enjoy this new game. Allowing you to collect karts, badges and badges this game comes at the price of 0.00. The game is free to download on any mobile device.
The game overall is fun and will having in a gaming sweet spot. You can compete in various cups. I'd compare this game to Nintendos Mario Kart Deluxe. The game could change the proportion to being horizontal rather vertical to allow players to control their vehicle better. The composers and sound producers added music that worked really well with the way the game play, and keeping it consistent with previous titles. I would definitely recommend they add multiplayer. While the game is fun and looks good. You can't play against your friends which previous titles include. The game is really marketed and targeted at everyone & if you ask me that's the way the game is played. Adults, teens and kids all enjoy playing the game. I would recommend this game to those who haven't had the time or felt of playing a Mario racing game or any racing game to give this game a try. It's free to download and wont disappoint those that play. This game is really well done to just be the first release. I give this game a 8.5 out of a 10.
I would like for you to place yourself in the shoes of an ancient Roman soldier. What games would you play if you were that soldier. Think in terms of both games that were contemporary to ancient Roman times as well as some modern video games. If I were a soldier during Roman times I think i'd most likely play tic-tac-toe and chess. Both games can be categorized as strategic games. When it comes to being a soldier I think it requires good strategy so playing these games I think would build my strategic thinking. Both games are also relatively fun and could easily be be turned into tournaments with a possibility of prize pools. Who wouldn't wanna earn money from playing a fun game? Chess is also a war type game if you think about it. Your trying to take the opponents king. So chess would probably put in good preparation for fighting. Not saying Chess, a game is training me by any means for battle but it would boost my morale into wanting to participate in combat. If Romans had video games back then, video games i'd play would probably be Rainbow 6 and Counter Strike for the same reason I'd play chess. Both games are very strategic and capture the objective based. In Conclusion the two games I would play would be Chess and Tic Tac Toe, both being very fun games to pass time and both are very strategic based games requiring you to think out side of the box to beat your opponent. Chess would be my first option of choice then it would Tic Tac Toe. The if Romans had modern games I would play Rainbow 6 and Counter Strike as my two video games.
What do you consider to be the main takeaways from the materials we covered in this class?
What do you consider to be the most rewarding experiences you had in this class and why do you feel this way?
What skills did you learn in this class that you believe will follow you into the future and why do you believe this to be the case?
I personally would describe this quarter as me very problematic and requires a lot of self problem solving. Having to do a lot of reading and research on ways to fix your issues in 3ds Max, finding easier ways to get the final product you want, but also done the correct way so you receive the grade. I'm going to briefly describe my struggles of each lesson. Cameras Now with cameras I did not have a whole lot of troubles. Just because i'm so familiar with them outside of this class. The only issue I would say I had with cameras was finding the correct lighting settings for most of the scenes I had modeled and animated. Also finding the right angle to put the cameras at were a challenge. Rigging I have not had to start really working with rigging. But knowing the terms has been a struggle. So studying the terms would be a easy way to solve this. Animation Ok this is the second most problematic lesson I have worked with this year. Recently I had just done a Bouncy Ball activity. Working in the curve editor and with key frames was a pain in the ass honestly. I ended up for this activity copy my first two keyframes and using those as a template for the rest of the animation and just changed the X, Y and Z coordinates when I wanted to change the direction of the ball. (I've added the video in so you can watch) Lighting My actual least favorite was lighting. Just for the simple fact that you'd have to do so much playing around with the settings and I personally just did not have the time for error fail during the time we were learning lighting. So I would ask classmates on their settings and see if it would fit my modeling and just changed those settings too the liking of the scene. In Conclusion;
As easy as Lighting sounds, it's actually quite difficult while working with it in 3d modeling. Lighting with other digital arts are way more easier, like working with lighting with video and photography is quite simple you change the settings on your camera or use natural lighting. But with 3d modeling you have to adjust settings like intensity, decay, attenuation. Those settings i'm not quite familiar with. Things like color, temperature and contrast are things i'm familiar with because they're quite universal in the digital arts world.
Also having to be familiar with all the lights to create a certain effect. If you want a shadow of a lamp but also want a light coming out of the lamp. You have to know how to use Omni, which lights up all directions and then a Target Spot which lights up in a cone shaped direction. You want to use the Omni to create the shadow of the lamp and then Target to create the "lamp light". See its quite different from lighting with a camera and video. You actually have to create the light yourself and adjust the settings until it meets the requirements for which you want. I've did some research on why lighting is so important in 3d modeling, here's what i discovered. That choosing the correct/perfect lighting technique can enhance a modeling project. Also lighting in a video games, they're mostly interactive and lighting can effect the characters actions. A example would be a character shooting could shoot out a light in the game and it would change the rest of the game is played. In Conclusion;

These last couple of days in DDA II class, we started working with UVW mapping. Which is wrapping a object with a bitmap texture. So far it's been pretty easy, Taking bitmaps and adding them to a standard material.
So whats is the hardest part I have while working with UVW maps? Like I said previously its all pretty easy but the hardest or most annoying part I would say is, getting everything lined up and being accurate. While doing my Boxing Things Up assignment I created my own video game box. I took all the pictures and cropped them in Adobe Photoshop, then added them to each side of the box I created in 3ds Max. But some images did not automatically fit into the poly. So I had to rotate the "Parameter" 180 degrees for side 01 and side 02. Another frustrating thing is the pre-production. When taking the photos you have to make sure everything is symmetrical to avoid white corners in 3ds. One thing that surprised me is how realistic it looks in the end product. Like it literally looked the real life box. In Conclusion;
Call of Duty released its fourth game in the Black Ops series on October, 12 of 2018. I got my hands on this game sometime in December and now have a decent understanding of the game now.
The game is a FPS, which includes a multiplayer, battle royale mode and zombies. This is the first Call of Duty to not include a campaign mode. Which ends the Black Ops story mode in Black Ops 3. Its also the first game to include 150 health in multiplayer and then battle royale mode with a item shop. The multiplayer continues some of the guns from the previous Call of Duty. I personally feel that Treyarch has looked at the trending game "Fortnite" and copied some of the its User Interface and implemented into its game. Along with all these new features , the professional/esport scene of Black Ops 4 is introducing 5v5. Overall decent game This year I have had the opportunity to work with 3ds max in detail. Aside from the large workload and deadlines, its been a pleasing year so far.
